Resilience for Birds

    Behavioral Ecology

Behavioral Ecology is the study of the evolutionary basis for animal behavior due to ecological pressures.

Ecology and environment influence a species' development, adapting to the conditions on the ground create very different species for different places. Understanding this is important when keeping birds. In order for them to be happy and healthy, keepers need to create environments and conditions that suit each species. A bird who developed high in mountain ranges nesting on ledges will not thrive being treated like a ground dweller, and vice versa.
